The 2020 Beer Drinkers Gift Guide
Presents for Beer Lovers.
Water is a necessity, but beer surely powers my world! Probably the only people who say they don’t like beer are the people who haven’t tried enough of them to find one they like.
In the past, people were ok with drinking downright mediocre beer: commercial industrialized beer with neither heart, soul nor passion. This included me! And then the craft beer revolution happened!
Sure, some breweries have been cooking up the same recipes for a thousand years like the beers brewed by religious orders, like monks. Surely those monks had their beer recipes stored away and locked up like gold within the safety of their compounds, just like they had their books and other precious things.
But a taste for extraordinary beer these days has spread to the masses!
We want to enjoy a fresh quality beer in the comfort of home or out on the town with friends.
We want a selection of specialty beers that matches our favorite beer preference, whether it’s a wheat beer, IPA, porter, pilsner, blond, or something entirely different!
Ok, so globalization has made us a bit spoiled!
I'm Chris from BeerQuest TV. I travel the globe enjoying and evaluating the world's best beers. The idea is to help people find the beers that they will like. This time I and my friends went to Anna's Bar in the Dutch city of The Hague, where Kompaan brewery was hosting a take-over of the bar.
To experience the visit along with us and Chris from Kompaan, see the above video!
The Kompaan beers we tried:
- Nº58 handlanger (Double IPA) - 8.2%
- Badgast (American Wheat Ale) – 5.7%
- Jerry Sauertopf (East Berliner Weisse) - 3.8%
- Nº20 bondgenoot (Blond) – 5.2%
I personally like to go so far as to incorporate beer into my food preparation! My top choice for selecting beer-infused recipes is a book appropriately called Cooking with Beer. Adding craft beer to your dishes elevates your culinary skills to a whole new level, adding deep flavor and undescribable complexities to your creations.
If you or your fellow beer-lover aren't much into cooking but you still like tasty things, then these chocolate-porter cookies are a must. Imagine these cookies topped with spreadable beer... brewlicious!
Call me "hoptimist" but can't we enjoy a good IPA in the shower too? We've got a shower beer holder to keep you covered while you scrub down and relax. After all, real studies show that "shower beer" can not only boost our productivity but our creativity too!
And of course, home brewing has gone mainstream. People don't only want to drink craft beer but they want to be part of the revolution!
So, are you looking to give yourself some self-love with a new gift to celebrate your relationship with beer?
Or perhaps you’re looking to gift your parents (moms drink craft beer too!) or your friend an awesome beer gift as a surprise?
We’ve gathered a run-down of some of the best beer gifts you can give...or keep!
Not only some home brewing kits for the craft beer enthusiast but also some novelty beer accessories to show off an appreciation for everything that is beer.
